Local Komen African American Breast Health Initiative Wins Promise Award
A special initiative focused on decreasing breast cancer mortality among African America women in the Greater Long Beach Area that was created and implemented by the Orange and Los Angeles County Komen Affiliates was chosen to receive the national "Promise Award" given at the Komen Leadership Conference in Fort Worth, Texas recently.
