More than $1.1 million awarded in Community Grants for 2012

The Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure awarded over $1.1 million to 14 local nonprofit organizations on Friday, Dec. 2nd, 2011, at the 5th Annual Grants Award Breakfast. These nonprofit community organizations will use the grants to implement breast health initiatives and programs throughout Orange County, all in a collective effort to end breast cancer.  

Non-profit community organizations receiving grants from Komen Orange County include:

• Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center
• Breast Cancer Solutions
• Hurtt Family Health Clinic, Inc.
• Laguna Beach Community Clinic
• Latino Health Access
• Nhan Hoa Comprehensive Health Care Clinic.
• Pacific Islander Health Partnership
• Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties
• Serve the People Community Health Center
• Share Our Selves (SOS)
• The G.R.E.E.N. Foundation
• Vietnamese American Cancer Foundation
• YWCA of North Orange County
